studio arboré produces unique fine furniture designed by Maximilian Jochim in Witzenhausen, Germany. Inspired by the landscapes that surround him, he creates products that combine art and craftsmanship in simple elegance and artisanal honesty. Slow processes and transparency in production lead to a sustainable practice.
studio arboré stands for elegance, lightness, honesty and the extraordinary.
The word ‘arboré’ translates from French as:
lightly wooded, covered with individual trees.
The place that is ‘arboré’ is therefore something like a clearing.
A place of longing that is open from all sides, cheerful and fertile.
Radiance, grace, life, peace and light, space for encounters and movement,
development and diversity characterise a clearing.
In a clearing, everything important is visible and recognisable,
while the overall picture is touching.
Maximilian Jochim wants to create this touch through his designs and products. He believes that the perfection of an object is shown in the fact that it touches people, i.e. that it can evoke emotions and thus enter into an exchange and connection with the environment.
